Doubles
Tennis match coordinator
Doubles arranges tennis for one private group. It keeps track of who can play, who is on court and who is waiting, so that organising a match does not take fifty messages in a group chat.
What it does
- A member posts a time. Everyone else says whether they can play, and the app works out balanced pairings.
- When enough people say yes, the match is confirmed and everybody is told the time, the court and who they are playing with.
- If somebody drops out, the place is offered to the next person who said she could play — one at a time, so nobody races for it.
Joining
Doubles is private and not open to the public. Membership is by invitation, and every request to join is approved by hand by the group's coordinator before an account exists.

Messages we send
Members who choose to can get a text when a match is confirmed, when a place opens, or when something about their match changes. It is optional, never required to use Doubles, and everything works by email instead. Reply STOP to any message to stop them.
