Doubles

Terms of use

Last updated 22 September 2026

These terms cover using Doubles, a scheduling tool for one private tennis group. By signing in, you agree to them.

Who can use it

Doubles is private and not open to the public. Membership is by invitation: you ask to join, and the group's coordinator approves the request by hand before an account exists. Filling in the sign-up form does not create an account and does not grant access to anything.

Accounts belong to one person. Your sign-in code arrives by email and is yours alone — do not pass it on.

What it does

Doubles records who can play, arranges balanced pairings, and tells the people in a match what is happening. It does not book courts with the club, take payments, or keep official league results. A court is booked by whoever hosts the match; the app only records that it was.

Being a decent member

Only three rules, and they are all the same rule:

  • Use other members' contact details to arrange tennis, and for nothing else. Never for marketing, and never share them outside the group.
  • Answer honestly about whether you can play. People book courts on your answer.
  • Do not try to reach data belonging to a group you are not a member of.

A coordinator can remove anyone from a group, and we can close an account that is used to harass somebody or to collect members' details.

Text messages

Text messages are optional and are never required to use Doubles — everything works by email instead. If you opt in, you get messages about matches you are part of: confirmations, a place opening, and changes to the time, court or line-up.

  • Frequency varies. Some weeks none at all; a round-robin session several in an afternoon.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Doubles charges you nothing.
  • Reply STOP to any message to stop texts immediately, START to turn them back on, and HELP for a reminder of what they are and how to reach us.
  • We never send marketing or promotional texts, and your number and consent are not shared with third parties.
  • Neither we nor mobile carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Leaving

Ask, and we will remove you and delete your details. Write to hello@doublescourt.com.

What we do not promise

Doubles is provided as is, without warranty. It is a small tool run for one club, not a service with an uptime guarantee — it can be unavailable, and a message can be delayed or not arrive. Do not rely on it as the only way you would learn that a match changed, and check with your group if something matters.

We are not responsible for a court you did or did not book, a match you missed, or anything that happens on it.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to use Doubles after that means the new terms apply. These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States.
