Doubles

Privacy

Last updated 22 September 2026

Doubles is a scheduling tool for one private tennis group. This policy describes everything it stores about you and what is done with it. It is short because the app does little: it arranges tennis.

Who we are

Doubles is operated from Florida, United States; the operating company is named in the footer. For anything in this policy — including a request to see or delete what we hold — write to hello@doublescourt.com, and a person will read it.

What we collect

Only what you give us when you ask to join, and what you do in the app:

  • Your name and email address, so you can sign in and be told about matches.
  • Your mobile number, if you give one. It is used to text you only if you ticked the consent box; otherwise it is simply on file for your group.
  • Your playing level and which days you prefer, so the app can pair people sensibly.
  • Which matches you said you could play, which you played, and who you played with — the app uses this to vary pairings.

We do not collect location, payment details, or anything from other websites. There are no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics on this site. Doubles does show your group its own playing statistics — who has played with whom, and how often — because that is what it uses to vary the pairings.

What we share, and what we never share

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run Doubles: with the service providers described below, and with the members of your own tennis group, who can see your name, playing level and contact details because that is what lets them arrange a match with you.

The above excludes text messaging opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties. Your mobile number and your agreement to receive texts are never sold, never shared with anyone for their own purposes, and never used for marketing by us or by anybody else.

Text messages

Texts are optional and never required to use Doubles. Everything works by email instead. If you asked for texts, you ticked a box that said:

Text me about my Doubles matches: confirmations, open places, and changes to the time, court or line-up. Frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

We store the date you agreed and the exact words you were shown, so that changing this wording later cannot change what you agreed to.

  • How often: only when something happens in a match you are part of. Frequency varies — some weeks none, a round-robin afternoon several.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We charge you nothing.
  • Stopping: reply STOP to any message and texts stop immediately. Reply START to turn them back on, or HELP for a reminder of what they are.

Stopping texts does not close your account and does not stop email. You can still sign in and see your matches. More about what we send.

Where it is kept, and how

We use trusted service providers to run Doubles, including providers that host the application and its database and that deliver email and text messages. They are based in the United States and process information only as far as they need to in order to provide those services to Doubles — an address or a mobile number and the message being sent, for example.

Signing in needs a code sent to your email address, so there is no password to be guessed or reused. We use access controls designed to limit each member to information belonging to their own group, applied in the database as well as in the app. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member of a group. If you ask to be removed, we delete you and your history. If you ask to join and are not approved, your request and everything in it is deleted rather than kept.

Children

Doubles is for adult members of a private club and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to the text message consent wording never applies backwards: what you agreed to is what was on screen when you agreed.
